ホッケのお父さんがヒトデを咥えて、保護している卵のテリトリーから遠ざけようとしていました。ホッケのお父さんはメスが産んだ卵が孵るまで世話と保護をします。卵はウニやヒトデといった雑食性の生き物に常に狙われています。ホッケのお父さんは休みなく辺りをパトロールをしています。警戒心が強すぎる個体や、敵を退治しない個体など性格は様々ですが、この個体はとても丁寧に卵の世話をしていました。

This Atka mackerel’s father was holding a starfish and trying to keep it away from their protected egg territory. Atka mackerel's father was taking care of the eggs laid by the female. There are many omnivorous creatures such as sea urchins and starfish here, and eggs are always targeted by them, for that, father always patrols. They had various personalities, such as those who are too cautious and those who do not get rid of enemies, but this individual was relaxed and did a very good eggs care.
