ホッケのお父さんがヒトデを咥えて、保護している卵のテリトリーから遠ざけようとしていました。ホッケのお父さんはメスが産んだ卵が孵るまで世話と保護をします。卵はウニやヒトデといった雑食性の生き物に常に狙われています。ホッケのお父さんは休みなく辺りをパトロールをしています。警戒心が強すぎる個体や、敵を退治しない個体など性格は様々ですが、この個体はとても丁寧に卵の世話をしていました。
